Collective Agreements
Northwest Territories Teachers' Association (NWTTA) Contract 2009-2013
On June 11, 2009, members of the NWTTA and YK1 negotiations committees signed a new 4-year collective agreement.
Effective September 1, 2009, the contract runs until August 31, 2013.
United Steelworkers (USW) Contract 2009-2012
On November 2, 2009, members of the USW and YK1 negotiations committees ratified a new 3-year collective agreement.
Retroactive to July 1, 2009, the contract runs until June 30, 2012.

Application for NWT Teacher Certification & Salary Evaluation
All those eligible for certification as a teacher in Northwest Territories must complete this Government of the Northwest Territories application for NWT Teacher Certification & Salary Evaluation to receive your certification, as well as have your salary evaluation for pay grid placement purposes. NWT certification is an employment requirement for Yellowknife Education District No. 1 teachers.
