RLN students raise money for brain tumour research

Range Lake North School students announced a donation of $550 to the Brain Tumour Foundation of Canada on Friday morning. The donation was matched dollar-for-dollar by YK1 Superintendent Metro Huculak, and the foundation matched both donations, bringing the total donated amount to $2,200. Students raised their donation during a pasta lunch on Oct. 13. Yellowknife’s Jim Strowbridge accepted the cheque on behalf of the foundation during an assembly at the school on Friday. Students, staff and visitors were then treated to performances from some of the school’s bands and choirs. A special thanks to the Brain Tumour Foundation of Canada, Metro Huculak, YK1 Trustee Tina Drew and everyone at Range Lake North School! The following pictures were taken during Friday’s assembly:
