K'àlemì Dene School celebrates three graduates

The Ndilo District Education Authority and K'àlemì Dene School celebrated three new graduates on Saturday, June 23. Patrick Chinkon, Stanley Mackenzie and Merald Paul make up the school’s eighth graduating class. The students were celebrated by the community of Ndilo, Yellowknives Dene First Nation Chief Ernest Betsina, Ndilo District Education Authority Chairperson Cece Beaulieu and Education, Culture and Employment Minister Caroline Cochrane, who all came out to wish them well. Each graduate was given a pair of handmade moccasins crafted by Elders in addition to a laptop. YK1 is extremely proud of these three young adults and excited to see what the future holds for them!
