Staff Spotlight: Paul

P. McDoanld

This week, for the final time, we shine a spotlight on Paul MacDonald. At the end of this school year, Paul will be retiring and heading south to enjoy some well-deserved rest with his family.

We have been very fortunate here at YK1 to have had Paul in the fold for over thirty years. He started his career back in the late 80s working in the French Department at William McDonald, before eventually becoming a highly-valued language arts specialist. After some time at NJ MacPherson school, he made the move to Sir John Franklin where he has worked as a full-time guidance counsellor for the better part of the last decade.

Anyone who knows Paul will have a lot to say about his character and professionalism: reliable, kind, thorough, disarming, funny, talented, artistic, passionate, collegial, and straightforward. He is leaving some very big shoes to fill in the Student Services Department at the Ecole Sir John Franklin High School, but we wish him all the best.
