Hello! My name is Christal Doherty and I am the Kindergarten teacher for the 2017-2018 school year.

I grew up in Deline, Northwest Territories and recently moved back to Yellowknife with my family. I was very lucky to stay home with our beautiful and busy two year old twins, but I am also very excited to return to teaching and learning with students at NJ.

I have been teaching for twelve years in varied teaching and educational positions. I recently taught Junior Kindergarten and Senior Kindergarten for one year, and Kindergarten for four years in Deline. I also taught at NJ Macpherson previously as a Kindergarten Teacher, as well as a grade 2 and grade 4 teacher. I am very happy to be returning to NJ!
