My name is Sarah Bannister and I am one of the Pre-Kindergarten teachers École J. H. Sissons. 

I'm a Newfoundlander born and raised who recently made the move to Yellowknife to pursue my teaching career. I have a Bachelor of Arts degree with a French major and English minor as well as an Education degree (Primary/ Elementary) both from Memorial University of Newfoundland. This is my first year working at the pre-k level but I am loving it so far! 

Aside from work, I love travelling, exploring and making new friends. I also started my own curling team and love going to the gym. 

Yellowknife has been wonderful thus far and I cannot wait to see what the rest of the year has in store.
