Hi, my name is Sharon Oldford. I was born in Newfoundland and attended Memorial University where I completed an Education degree and then focused on special education. I have worked with YK1 since 1998 in many different roles ranging from classroom teacher to administration. I am currently working at NJ as the program support teacher.

I enjoy the long July days by relaxing on Great Slave Lake with my husband, Craig and our son, Riley. In winter, I keep busy by playing hockey and broomball.  I think the northern lights are amazing! I love to read and spend time with my ‘Northern Family’. I think the greatest thing about the north is the sense of community and close relationships you develop with your friends.
