Water Testing Update - 3 YK1 Schools Aug 26, 2025

The Department Education Culture and Employment recently coordinated water quality testing at N. J. Macpherson School in Yellowknife. Upon reviewing the preliminary results, the Yellowknife Education District took immediate steps to provide alternate sources of drinking water for students and staff at the school. Earlier today, the school district advised parents and staff of the testing and of the immediate measures put in place.
