Hi there! I am Ms. Gomez, and this is my first year at NJ and second year in Yellowknife. Last year I taught English at J.H. Sissons, and a grade 6/7 class at William McDonald. I am very excited to have a grade 3/4 classroom this year. Originally from Venezuela, I moved to the north from Alberta to start my education career. I studied sociology and elementary education at the University of Calgary.

When I am not at school, I love to spend my time reading books to my cat Luna, hiking or cross-country skiing with my partner Taylor, and sharing delicious meals with my friends. I am also completing my Yoga Teacher Training online, and I look forward to sharing what I learn with students and colleagues here at NJ. Have an awesome school year, everyone!
