I was born and raised in Ontario and moved up to Yellowknife 2 years ago with my husband Ian and our dog Stanley. I am going into my eighth year teaching and third at École William McDonald Middle School. I have spent my teaching career in the French Immersion program, spanning the primary, junior and intermediate levels. I learned my French through the Ontario French Immersion program in both Elementary and High School, and continued my learning through University as well. I have taken three additional teacher qualification courses on teaching French as a second language. My family is French Canadian and I have many fond memories of sharing in the French language with my grandparents, including watching the Montreal Canadiens games in French (something I continue to do to this day, sorry for all non-Habs fans out there!). I enjoy gardening, reading, knitting, playing games with family and friends and spending time outdoors.
