I am honoured to serve this vibrant community and to be a part of our students’ education experience as the Acting Superintendent/CEO of YK1. Our goal at YK1 is to provide nurturing and inclusive learning environments where every student can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. We honour and respect the land we live on and the people with whom we learn. We are dedicated to fostering lifelong learning, where culture and curiosity are celebrated, and students are empowered with the tools to reach their full potential. As we navigate the ever-changing landscape of education, we remain committed to ensuring we are current in education practices and innovation. By continually seeking ways to enhance and strengthen the learning experiences for students, YK1 staff are always learning. We value the partnerships we have with families and the community and will continue to build and add to these important connections for our students. At YK1, we believe in educating for life.
